Collaborative workspace
The collaborative workspace is the defined portion of the safeguarded space where a robot system and a person can perform tasks concurrently during production operation. It is a property of the application and its risk assessment, not of the robot alone: the same robot arm may run collaboratively in one zone and at full speed behind safeguards in another. Within this space, one or more of the four collaborative operating methods must be active.
