ISO 14119 (interlocking devices)

ISO 14119 specifies principles for the design and selection of interlocking devices associated with guards, such as the switches on access doors of a robot cell that stop hazardous motion when the guard is opened. It classifies interlocking device types, addresses guard locking, and defines measures to minimize defeat of interlocks in a reasonably foreseeable manner. Robot cell doors, gates, and removable panels are typically interlocked to this standard.
