AGV (automated guided vehicle)

A driverless vehicle that follows a fixed guidance system such as magnetic tape, embedded wire, floor-mounted QR markers, or reflector-based laser triangulation. AGVs travel repeatable routes and typically halt when an obstacle enters their path rather than replanning around it. They are common in material transport applications where routes are stable and throughput is predictable.
